#1: truthaboutlove

"The truth is that love is supportive and nurturing, not agressive or demanding. It is protective, not overwelming. Love expands, gives and heals. For most of us, our entrance to life was a fairly standard medical precedure. As a result of that process, we have unconsciously concluded that love is painful, confusing, invasive, aggressive, and sometimes violent. You had no idea that there was a great deal going on that had nothing to do with you or love! At birth, while God was freely giving you the gift of love called life, all the other stuff robbed you of the experience of His unconditional love. Very often, our stuff robs us of the experience of total self-love and unconditional love in our relationship with others."
