You and I have both witnessed how surprising life can be. Life is full of sharp turns, swivelling paths and abrupt stops. One thing I have relearned today was that it is okay to want something. After all, they do form into our own personal goals. But there is a difference between wanting something and setting your heart into something. And sometimes we need to just want something...for the sake of protecting our hearts. It's our way of not setting ourselves up for disappointment. It's our way of saying you know what? It would be nice if this happened, but whatever happens happens. Just stay open and don't be surprised when things don't go according to plan. Know that there is something else in store --something much greater than we can imagine.
